Moving the System - Deepening the Practice of Organisational Constellations

Part 2: Moving the System 12th–16th April 2027
UK - Residential Countryside Retreat tbc

This intensive retreat deepens and extends the practitioner journey from systemic insight into sophisticated systemic intervention. Designed for graduates of Part 1 as well as for practitioners who have had some training already and are seeking greater fluency and impact in their Constellations work, this advanced residential immersion focuses on the subtle art of working with complexity, paradox, power, and organisational change in real-world settings.

Across five intensive days, participants refine their capacity to diagnose systemic patterns, design effective interventions, and facilitate constellations in situations where the stakes are high and outcomes uncertain. Particular attention is given to practitioner presence, the use of self as instrument, and the discernment required to navigate the often-hidden dynamics shaping organisational life.

This is not simply an advanced skills programme. It is a pathway towards mastery.

Through live practice, supervision, and deep exploration of complex organisational cases, participants strengthen their ability to work with confidence in senior leadership environments, bringing clarity, movement, and systemic intelligence to challenges that conventional approaches often struggle to address.

Some participants might already have attended Ty's first residential retreat (Seeing the System, in October 2026). This immersion experience 6 months later brings you into the heart of systemic intervention. Here, the emphasis shifts from seeing systemic dynamics to moving systems - from perception to facilitation. Participants work intensively with the language, timing and subtlety required to restore movement and coherence in complex systems. This retreat marks the threshold from learning interventions… to standing as a practitioner. Themes include:

  • The Orders of Helping
  • The Interrupted Reaching Out Movement (IROM)
  • Sentences that move systems
  • Working with primary, secondary, systemic and meta emotions
  • Systemic team dynamics
  • Working with cultural trauma, legacy dynamics and systemic complexity
  • Constellating without the constellation
  • Advanced Structural Constellations forms
  • Ethical stance and professional boundaries in high-stakes environments
  • Small-group constellation facilitation practice
  • Whole-group constellation demonstrations
  • Practitioner refinement and structured feedback

Before / between the intensive retreats

Reading Section 1 of Ty's book, 'Mapping the Invisible - Exploring Constellations-Informed Coaching & Consulting' is a requirement before the first Intensive Retreat (Part 1 - Seeing the System, October 2026).

Reading Section 2 of Ty's book is a requirement for this second Intensive Retreat (Moving the System, April 2027).

Participants are encouraged to apply the work in real organisational contexts between immersions. We will focus on developing a real 'community of practice' on each cohort. Optional integration and supervision calls support translation into practice and help consolidate learning.

Practitioners are also strongly advised to set up their own family of origin between retreats, with a reputable family systems practitioner.

What makes this programme distinctive?

This is Constellations work transmitted with depth, but grounded in the realities of complex organisational life.

  • Led by a first-generation UK Constellator with 30 years of international facilitation and teaching experience
  • A coherent development pathway from foundations to advanced facilitation over10 days
  • Deep experiential learning and real case-based practice
  • Small group, high-touch, closely supervised experience
  • Integration with mainstream OD, coaching and consulting approaches
  • Practical tools for working systemically even when setting up a formal constellation is not possible
  • Optional evening reflection circles
  • Tested in global organisational practice in commercial and public sector systems
  • Held in a carefully curated residential setting
  • High quality peer learning community - limited to 12 participants

This is not simply about learning a method. It is about becoming the kind of practitioner who can stand in complexity — and move what needs to move.

The programme promise…

By the end of this intensive learning pathway, you will:

  • Understand the systemic forces shaping organisational culture
  • Develop an embodied capacity to sense and read organisational fields
  • Refine your own distinctive signature style
  • Build ethical and practical competence in Constellations facilitation
  • Place systemic sentences in client conversations
  • Expand systemic awareness and translate it into client impact
  • Understand what creates connection, belonging and aliveness for leaders and teams
  • Practice both whole-group and small-group constellations formats
  • Learn to 'constellate without the constellation' when context requires it
  • Leave with a grounded pathway toward Master Practitioner development
  • Develop your own 'signature style' of integrating Constellations work into your existing coaching and OD practices

This programme is designed for…

  • Internal and external coaches
  • OD facilitators and consultants
  • Leadership development practitioners
  • Experienced professionals working with organisational culture and complexity

Participants should already be working in organisational settings and ready to deepen their systemic craft. If you are ready to move from embodied practice to practitioner authority, this intensive immersion experience offers a serious and spacious path.

This development pathway is not designed for those seeking a quick or purely technique-based training. It is for experienced practitioners who are ready to deepen their systemic capacity, refine their facilitation stance, and work responsibly with complexity in organisational life.
