From Seeing the System to Moving the System - a two-part Intensive Journey in Organisational Constellations
Part 1: Seeing the System 26th–30th October 2026
Part 2: Moving the System 12th–16th April 2027
UK - Residential Countryside Retreat tbc
For experienced coaches and OD practitioners working with organisations under pressure, Organisational Constellations offers a profound way to see beneath the surface of leadership and team dynamics, culture, and systemic entanglement. This two-part residential immersion experience offers a rigorous and embodied pathway into applied Organisational and Coaching Constellations practice. Held as two 5-day retreats, this journey moves from developing the capacity to see and read systemic dynamics with precision… to standing as a practitioner capable of moving systems with authority and depth.
This is not a conventional training programme. It is a practitioner formation experience.
Across the two carefully sequenced residential intensives, you will cultivate systemic perception, embodied facilitation skill, and the grounded authority required to work systemically in complex organisational environments. Transmitted with clarity and depth, yet grounded in the realities of contemporary organisational life, this is a high-touch, closely supervised pathway for professionals ready to integrate Systemic Constellations into their coaching, consulting and OD work with confidence, ethics, and impact.
The Journey:
Many experienced practitioners reach a point where conventional tools are no longer enough. They sense deeper dynamics at play — inherited patterns, unseen loyalties, systemic entanglements — yet lack a structured way to work with them. The first retreat cultivates the capacity to see systemic dynamics clearly, understand the technique of a constellation and cultivate your stance (which is different to that of a coach). The second develops the authority to intervene responsibly in complex client situations. Together, they mark a shift from competence to grounded practitioner presence.
Part 1: Seeing the System
The first immersion is an initiation into systemic practice and develops your capacity to perceive systemic fields with clarity and nuance. Here, the focus is on deepening your systemic literacy — learning to read beneath surface narratives and map the invisible dynamics shaping organisational life. Through experiential learning, demonstrations, and supervised practice, you will cultivate the embodied stance of the constellations facilitator. This immersion lays the foundations of practitioner authority - not through formulae, but through disciplined perception and direct experience. Key areas of exploration include:
- Systemic thinking, systemic mapping and systemic sensing
- The Orders of Love and principles of organisational health
- The Theory of Consciences: belonging and entanglement at work
- Developing systemic hypotheses in coaching and consulting contexts
- Systemic symptoms and how to work with them
- The embodied intelligence and inner posture of the facilitator
- Basic Structural Constellations forms
- Demonstrations of whole-group organisational constellations
- Paired and small-group practice
Part 2: Moving the System
The second immersion experience 6 months later brings you into the heart of systemic intervention. Here, the emphasis shifts from seeing to moving - from perception to facilitation. Participants work intensively with the language, timing and subtlety required to restore movement and coherence in complex systems. This retreat marks the threshold from learning interventions… to standing as a practitioner. Themes include:
- The Orders of Helping
- The Interrupted Reaching Out Movement (IROM)
- Sentences that move systems
- Working with primary, secondary, systemic and meta emotions
- Systemic team dynamics
- Working with cultural trauma, legacy dynamics and systemic complexity
- Constellating without the constellation
- Advanced Structural Constellations forms
- Ethical stance and professional boundaries in high-stakes environments
- Small-group constellation facilitation practice
- Whole-group constellation demonstrations
- Practitioner refinement and structured feedback
Before / between the intensive retreats
Reading Section 1 of Ty's book, 'Mapping the Invisible - Exploring Constellations-Informed Coaching & Consulting' is a requirement before the first Intensive Retreat.
Reading Section 2 of Ty's book is a requirement for the second Intensive Retreat.
Participants are encouraged to apply the work in real organisational contexts between immersions. We will focus on developing a real 'community of practice' on each cohort. Optional integration and supervision calls support translation into practice and help consolidate learning.
Practitioners are also strongly advised to set up their own family of origin between retreats, with a reputable family systems practitioner.
What makes this programme distinctive?
This is Constellations work transmitted with depth, but grounded in the realities of complex organisational life.
- Led by a first-generation UK Constellator with 30 years of international facilitation and teaching experience
- A coherent development pathway from foundations to advanced facilitation over10 days
- Deep experiential learning and real case-based practice
- Small group, high-touch, closely supervised experience
- Integration with mainstream OD, coaching and consulting approaches
- Practical tools for working systemically even when setting up a formal constellation is not possible
- Optional evening reflection circles
- Tested in global organisational practice in commercial and public sector systems
- Held in a carefully curated residential setting
- High quality peer learning community - limited to 12 participants
This is not simply about learning a method. It is about becoming the kind of practitioner who can stand in complexity — and move what needs to move.
